Changing the type of assignment

With all the focus on the new AI Chatbots ( Chat GPT being my favorite), people are starting to look at assignments in a different way.  There are no tools that will catch every chatbot-created paper- so I think looking at the assignment type is a better method.  Here’s an article from Education Week that might help you modify your assignments.

ChatGPT for Teachers

Chat GPT is blocked in my district- but that doesn’t stop me from using it at home!  I’ve seen several articles recently on how prompt engineering (i.e., how you ask the question) directly impacts the quality of the output.  From Hello Teacher Lady, here is a list of 50 time-saving prompts for educators. Using Chat GPT

(I realize it may be blocked in your district- so the prep work for this Frankenbot template would have to be done outside of the district).

Matt Miller suggests using ChatGPT responses (one question with 3 responses).  You paste the prompt and the three responses on Google Slides.  Students then review all three responses and select parts to create their personal responses.  They then need to defend their choices.  He calls it Frankenbot (read his post here for complete details including the naming reasons).

Interesting uses for ChatGPT
