It’s all in how you say it

In Youki Terada’s post in Edutopia, he talks about the connection between teachers' language/tone and class culture.  I found it interesting especially the connection between short, focused written directions and student responses. If Covid taught me anything, it was that the personal connection made in a video was more powerful than a set of written directions- even though the information was the same!
