New from Discovery Education- Art, Audio Books, and STEM

Here are highlights from their May releases:

Take students behind the scenes of the world’s greatest museums: From wherever they are, students can get a virtual, all-access pass to the world’s top museums from Janson Media’s Museum Access, now available in Discovery Education Experience and Social Studies Techbook. Host Leslie Mueller visits locations like the Adler Planetarium, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Science and Industry, and the Mystic Seaport Museum. With each visit, students will discover and learn about global culture, innovations, accomplishments, and heritage around the world.

Get lost in a great (audio)book: Now live in Discovery Education Experience, the Audiobooks network channel helps all students access literature and enjoy books at their own pace. The Audiobooks channel showcases more than 200 works of literature, allowing students to listen to books like Hunger Games, Goosebumps, Shakespeare, and more.  Students and teachers can easily browse the channel by grade range as well as genre, and new audiobooks are being added to the channel each week.

Bring science into the living room: To encourage student curiosity and exploration outside the classroom while students are studying from home due to COVID-19, 3M has launched the 3M Science at Home video series. Now available in Discovery Education Experience and Science Techbook, the series presents simple and fun at-home experiments conducted by 3M scientists using common household items. The experiments are designed to reinforce core scientific principles in physics, chemistry, and biology and can be done from anywhere!
