Alice Keeler shares several teacher ideas for Wakelet. It has been the only curation site (and there have been many) that has worked for me. It saves everything and is easy to use and share. Sayreville University utilizes Wakelet for our professional development material and I use several for personal projects. In a recent online book study, a member shared this article on Metacognition and reflection to help students become better writers. In Susan Barber’s article here, I especially liked the suggestion of keeping track of how you overcame an obstacle or barrier. It would be a troubleshooting log of sorts to help you going forward. Looking for lesson plan ideas for grades 3-8 for Black History Month? PBS and their American Icon series is the answer. Their lesson plans are complete- from vocabulary words, short videos, graphic organizers, suggested activities, and step-by-step directions- there is nothing else to ask for! While you might use the Black Americans during February, there are several other icons you might want to share during the rest of the year.
