Making pictures talk
Did you ever want to make an image talk? ChatterPIX does a great job on an iPad or iPhone.Blabberize Edu looks good but is subscription-based (and Blabberize is filled with ads).
Here’s a suggestion from Tony Vincent that uses Screencastify and the Google drawing tools to make a slug talk! Granted, it doesn’t have the bells and whistles but watch his video and see what you think!Friday, December 17, 2021
Screencastify and Student Engagement
Screencastify recently shared a Student Engagement Guide. You will find teacher, home, and student activities. Here you will find a free ebook with over 25 suggestions. Select the one(s) that work best for your students. I particularly liked Student Reflections (#16) and Book Reports (#21). What are your favorites?

Add music to your Screencastify video
While background music might not be appropriate for all Screencastify videos- it might work for some applications. Please see Richard Byrne (Free Technology for Teachers) blog post for step by step directions. While he downloads it first to YouTube, I went directly from Screencastify to YouTube and I was able to add music. The nice feature since you are using the YouTube editor, all the music is approved for YouTube.

Great Screencastify Video
Just a few notes:
1. Screencastify is already installed in the district.
2. The five-minute limit has been waived.
